Holiday Sewing Survival
Sunday November 30, 2008
I love sewing and tend to lose track of time when I am sewing. I can get lost for hours while I'm sewing.... the problems is that as the holidays get closer, I can't afford to lose track of hours at a time. A few simple tricks can have you enjoying making wonderful homemade gifts that will be treasured for years to come!
Mason Jars and Cookie Mixes

I love Christmas Cookies.. and eat way to many of them... I also end up putting many out for the birds because so many get baked for Christmas. This year I'm thinking about supplementing my cookie platters with
Cookie Mix in a Jar - Cookie Mix with Chocolate Chips or Candy Pieces. Then I can add pretty fabric jar covers so the jars can be used again as coin banks or for other kitchen storage.

Bias tape is a staple in many free sewing projects... and a major time saver when you learn to use it.
A Great Gift Idea

I think nurses are one of the most under appreciate professions out there! They take the brunt of every thing and it's always the doctor that gets the glory. I recently had a wonderful nurse who made my life so much better that I designed her a gift. Thank You Wanda! I hope everyone can make one for their favorite nurse... or even a doctor! It just might make their patient smile!
